Carol D. (Matz) Nelson

Carol D. Nelson, 86, of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at the Christian Community Home in Osceola, Wisconsin.  Carol Matz was born on December 31, 1936, in Frederic, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Irene Matz.

Carol leaves to celebrate her memory: her husband, Kenneth Nelson of St. Croix Falls, children, Scott (Laurie) Larsen, Shelly Maxwell, and Steven (Deb) Nelson, 3 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Siblings, Judy Hagert, Richard, Faye (Robert) Tietz, and Michael (Mary). Also, by many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Peggy Thompson, and Gary Matz.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Joy Lutheran Church in Centuria, WI. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. There will be a luncheon following the service followed by burial at Maple Grove Cemetery in Frederic, WI
