Carol (Johnson) Johnson

Carol Johnson, 87, of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Home in St. Croix Falls with her loving family at her side. Carol was born on December 9, 1927 in Garfield Township, Polk County, Wisconsin the daughter of J. Arthur and Annie Jeanette Johnson.
Carol graduated from the Balsam Lake High School in 1945. She married Harold Johnson in June of 1950. Together they owned and operated several businesses in the local area. She was a member of the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in St. Croix Falls and an active member of the Ladies Guild. She was a long time volunteer at the Good Samaritan Home in St. Croix Falls and her family’s historian. She enjoyed cooking, baking and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Carol leaves to celebrate her memory: her husband, Harold Johnson of St. Croix Falls, daughters, Dawn (Roger) Peterson, Blooming Prairie, MN and LuAnn (Larry) Chelberg of St. Croix Falls, WI; grandchildren: Landon (Kelly) Peterson, Christopher (Emily) Chelberg, Laura Peterson, Ryan (Eimile) Chelberg, Michael Chelberg and Alicia Chelberg, great grandchildren: Landon Zaiser, Ethan Chelberg, Kelsey Chelberg, Oliver Chelberg and Dahlia Chelberg, brothers, Merlin (Sally) Johnson and Gerald (Virginia) Johnson, sister-in-law, JoAnne Larson and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Dale (Lorraine) Johnson and Vernal Johnson.
A Christian Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at the St. Croix Falls Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be he grandchildren: Landon Peterson, Christopher Chelberg, Laura Peterson, Ryan Chelberg, Michael Chelberg and Alicia Chelberg.
