“Jim” Dave A. Young, 61, of Centuria, Wisconsin, passed away on January 29, 2024, at Meadowbrook of Chetek. Jim was born on January 12, 1963, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of David R. and Marlene F. (Peterson) Young.
He attended school at South High School in Minneapolis. He was confirmed at Augustana Lutheran Church in 1978. He had worked in several different positions in Minnesota and Wisconsin. He was a member of Joy Lutheran Church in Centuria, Wisconsin, where he provided facility ministry. He was a master of fellowship and hospitality.
He was an outdoorsman, enjoying ice fishing, summer fishing, deer hunting being out in nature, taking walks, and loved animals. He enjoyed the music of Jim Morrison, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Jimmy Hendricks.
He was preceded in death by his father, David, and his brother, Jeffrey Young. He leaves to celebrate his memory: his mother, Marlene Young, Minneapolis, MN; aunts and uncles, Shirley and Bill Lundberg, Minneapolis, Kathy and Darryl Vacura, Baudette, MN; his special fur friend, Sammy, cousins and other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Joy Lutheran Church in Centuria at a later date. Please check back for updated information.
