David Edward Sampson
November 4, 1959 — March 21, 2014
David E. Sampson, passed away suddenly at age 54 on Friday, March 21, 2014 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. David was born on November 4, 1959 in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin the son of Bernhard and Marjorie (Glunz) Sampson.
David worked at Viking Electric in St. Paul for over 30 years. He enjoyed being surrounded by his loved ones which often entailed cooking amazing meals, hunting, concerts and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins. His dog Annie will miss their daily walks. David was a generous, thoughtful and very kind person.
He will be greatly missed by his son, Matt Sampson (Nichole), Hudson, WI; daughter, Cassie Sampson, Minneapolis, MN; brother, Denny (Gretchen) Sampson, Osceola, WI; sister, Diane (Mike) Voltz, Balsam Lake, WI; loving friend, Beth Heuer, Northfield, MN; and the mother of his children/ex-wife, Lisa Russell and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernhard and Marjorie Sampson and his brother, Dale Sampson.
We hope you will join us to celebrate his life at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria, WI on Tuesday, March 25 from 4-7 P.M. A social gathering will be then be held from 7-9 P.M. at McKenzie Lanes, Centuria. We love and miss you dad!
