David “Fred” Peterson, 64, of Centuria, Wisconsin passed away at his home with his loving family at his side on Sunday, May 27, 2018.
David was born on May 2, 1954 in Amery, Wisconsin the son of Stanley and Hazel (McLeod) Peterson. He graduated from Unity High School in 1972 and then attended W.I.T.C. in New Richmond where he earned a degree in Machine Tooling. During his working career he was employed by Brandtjen & Kluege Inc of St. Croix Falls, WI and MPC Incorporated in Grantsburg, WI.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to his cabin, going to ballgames and he was a Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Twins fan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
David leaves to celebrate his memory: daughters, April Peterson (Wayne Vlasnik), Balsam Lake, WI; Karissa Peterson (Josh Hoffman), Luck, WI; his girlfriend, Christine Mathews, Centuria, WI and her son, Steven Mathews of Centuria, grandchildren: Ben, Tanner, Olivia, Abbi, Braden, Riley and Brooklyn, also the mother of his children, Jeanne Johnson, his siblings, Doug (Dottie) Peterson, Judy Skow and Dale (Toni) Peterson and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Hazel Peterson.
A Celebration of David’s life will take place at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home on Thursday, May 31, 2018 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.
The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
