Dean R. Wettig

November 15, 1944 — April 19, 2018

Dean R. Wettig, 73, of Milltown, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Dean was born on November 15, 1944 in Minneapolis, MN the son of Robert and Charlotte Wettig.  He married Linda McKinney on November 6, 1964.

Dean was retired from the Polk County Highway Department where he had over 30 years of employment.  He was a man of strong faith and a long time member of the Milltown Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed snowmobiling or any activity with his children and grandchildren, he loved his dog Buddy and he enjoyed going to car shows and liked seeing all the classic cars.  Dean had other enjoyments but above all it was his family he enjoyed the most.  He will be dearly missed.

Dean leaves to celebrate his memory, son, Jeff Wettig, Milltown, daughter, Tracey Martinez (Greg Johnson) Webster, grandchildren: Amanda (Pete) Travica, Grand Rapids, MN, Sean Martinez, Webster and Emily Martinez, Webster, great grandchildren: Preston and Carly Travica, Grand Rapids, Minnesota, brother, John J. Wettig, Rice Lake, WI; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis (Edith) McKinney, Luck, WI; sister-in-law, Marlyce McKinney, Frederic,  nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends and his dog Buddy.  He was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte Larson and Robert Wettig, wife, Linda Wettig and step-sister, Fran Davison.

A Memorial Service for Dean will be held at the Milltown Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.  Pastor Angie Kutney will officiate.

Dean's family will greet guests at the church beginning at 10:00 A.M.  Following the service please join Dean's family for lunch and continued fellowship in the church basement.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
