Donald Eugene Bengtson

Donald Eugene Bengtson, 86, of Milltown, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at his home with his family at his side.  Donald was born on July 12, 1934 in Laketown Township, Polk County, Wisconsin the son of Albert J. and Ida O. (Simes) Bengtson.

Donald married Carol Hoisington on December 12 1953 and the together raised their six children.  Donald retired in 1990 at the age of 55 from the Stillwater Minnesota School District.  He enjoyed raising horses and many other animals on their two different hobby farms.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and was very proud of his children.  He was also very proud the Bengtson family reunion has been held for 70 years.

He leaves to celebrate his memory: wife, Carol Ann Bengtson, Milltown, WI; children: Cynthia (Steven) Yelle, Lake Orion, MI; Donald Jr. (Brenda) Bengtson, Lake Elmo, MN; Dale (Linda) Bengtson, Oak Dale, MN; Dennis (Shari) Bengtson, Lake Elmo, MN; Douglas Bengtson, Milltown, WI and Duane (Brigitte) Bengtson, Cambridge, MN, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and six sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the North Valley Lutheran Church at on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00 A.M.  Donald's family will greet visitors at the church beginning at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  He will be laid to rest at the Milltown Cemetery.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
