Douglas John Bibeau, 66, of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Douglas was born on February 17, 1953 in Amery, Wisconsin the son of Roy and and Betsy (Brunberg) Bibeau.
Doug served his country in the United States Navy from May 1975 – May 1981. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Antarctic Service Medal, Good Conduct Award and the Navy Battle “E” Ribbon. He married Jacquelynn Walker on August 14, 1976 while in the United States Navy. He returned to Balsam Lake in 1985 where he lived until he passed away. He had been employed at Northern Metals, Polaris, Bishop, Angler’s Inn, Paradise and Indianhead over the years.
Doug enjoyed watching football with his grandson Jonathon, talking politics with his grandson Josef and talking about the TV show Jeopardy with his sister Sue. He also enjoyed cooking and visiting with his family. He will be dearly missed by all.

Bibeau, Balsam Lake, WI; daughter, Megan Walker, Balsam Lake, WI; grandchildren: Carrie Lamachia, Jonathon Lamachia and Josef Bornhoeft, great grandchild, Madison Lamachia, siblings: Michael (June) Bibeau, Mikana, WI; Stuart (Mary) Bibeau, Balsam Lake, WI; Suzanne Jansen, Balsam Lake, WI; Kristine (Steven) Peterson, Twin Falls, ID, Lucinda Glebus, Balsam Lake, WI; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Betsy and Roy Bibeau, sisters: Mary, Rose Ellen and Julie Bibeau.
A Memorial Service for Doug will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Balsam Lake with visitation at the church one hour prior to the service.
The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
