Elaine “Margie” Beyl, 87 of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, August 02, 2017 at the United Pioneer Home in Luck, Wisconsin with her loving family at her side. Elaine Marjorie Youngren was born on March 25, 1930 in Taylors Falls, Minnesota the daughter of Otto and Gerda Youngren.
Margie attended Lamar Grade School and graduated from Centuria High School in 1948. She was confirmed at Fristad Lutheran Church in Centuria where she also married Warren Beyl of St. Croix Falls on August 12, 1950. They were married for 61 years until the time of his death in 2011.
She had worked at Alcan and other sewing factories early on and then on the family farm. She was a member of the Polk County Homemaker’s Club, Christian Women’s Club, the Lioness Club, and volunteered with Interfaith Care Givers. Margie was involved in many of the Fristad Lutheran Church activities throughout her years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, hardanger stitching, and gardening and loved to bake for her family and friends, especially during holiday get-togethers.
Margie is survived by her children, Tom (Lorrie) Beyl, St. Croix Falls; Gayle (Scott) Adler, Sparta, NJ; Steve (Jodie) Beyl, St. Croix Falls; grandchildren, Shannon (Steven), Cory and Kami; great grandchildren, Logan and Bailey; step-grandchildren, Cassie (Mark), Andy (Chas), Justin, Jerred and Austin; step-greatgrandchildren, Avery, Griffin, Gavin, Carson and Isabella, sister-in-law, Nancy Beyl Savre, many nieces and nephews, and her loving dog and companion Bree.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren, parents, Gerda and Otto, siblings, Norman Youngren, GloryAnn Johnson, Byron Youngren, Beatrice Franke, Russell Youngren, Hazel Anderson and Ardella Peterson and brother-in-law, Doyle Beyl.
Funeral Services for Margie will be held at the Fristad Lutheran Church in Centuria on Monday August 7, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria on Sunday, August 6, from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.
Margie will be laid to rest alongside her husband Warren at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Eureka Township. Please join the family back at church for lunch and fellowship following the cemetery service.
