October 28, 1934 — January 2, 2021

Elizabeth Ann Foerst, age 86, of Luck, WI passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at United Pioneer Home in Luck. Betty was born on October 28 th , 1934 in Superior, WI to Adolph and Esther (Rundquist) Kleppe.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John (Jack); her sister, Ruth Kimmes; brother-in-law, Ray Kimmes; great grandson, River Wheeler.

Betty leaves to celebrate her memory; Children: Jeffrey Foerst, Julie (Jerry) Erickson, Jerette (Ron) Peterson, Jake (Paula) Foerst; Grandchildren: Brandae (Michael) Hucks, Christy Peterson, Jeremy (Sadie) Erickson, Deanna (Ben) Wheeler, Jonie (Randall Bazille) Erickson, Cassae (Kirk) Hischer, Heather (Rodney) Marek, Jacob (Ally DeShong) Foerst and 10 great grandchildren.

Betty married her husband John (Jack) on April 16 th , 1954. Jack passed away in 2014. Together they made many memories which included traveling, gardening, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Betty had a love for flowers, plants, shopping for beautiful clothes, going out to eat, going on casino outings, and playing Bingo (the finer things in life)! Her greatest love was for her children; Jeffrey, Julie, Jerette and Jake. She was the most caring mother and was so proud of each one of them. Betty was always excited for visits from her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They tended to spoil her with care packages and gifts which included flowers, warm clothing, her favorite snacks, and much more.

She was a homemaker/stay at home mother for the most part but when she moved to WI she worked as a housekeeper at the Dalles House Motel and later at the Turtle Lake Casino Hotel. At Turtle Lake Casino Hotel she was recognized for her hard work and she was very proud of her accomplishments. Betty loved to clean and keep a tidy home.

Betty lit up a room with her beautiful smile and spirit. She was a social butterfly and brought happiness to everyone she met. The way she loved and cared about others was what made her so incredibly special. She had a way with people and touched everyone’s hearts with her sweet and caring personality. She loved to give hugs and hold hands. Betty was a tiny lady but she had so much strength which came from her huge heart. She will be missed beyond words. She was an Angel to all and a Gift from God.

Betty’s family cannot thank the staff and volunteers at United Pioneer Home enough for their quality care and friendship to her throughout the years. You were like family to her and each of you holds a special place in her heart.

There will be a Private Family Visitation and Funeral Service held at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria.  Betty will be laid to rest at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Laketown Township following the funeral service.  Pallbearers will be: Jacob Foerst, Jeremy Erickson, Rodney Marek, Kirk Hischer, Randall Bazille and Ben Wheeler.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
