Gloria Mae Merrill - Asin

Gloria Mae Merrill – Asin, 65, of Danbury, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012.

Gloria was born December 12, 1946. She grew up on Round Lake Reservation, and graduated from Unity High School, then attended Mt. Scenario College in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. She resided in Danbury for the past 11 years. Gloria held many positions, including Tribal Judge, while working for the tribe for over 30 years. She was also actively involved in working with youth in the community.

Gloria leaves to celebrate her memory, her 3 daughters, Victoria Merrill (Clint Stoner), Veronica Merrill (Jason Fleming), and Crystal (Jason) Peterson; 7 grandchildren, Amber, Kayla, Leah, Anthony, Jason jr, Hunter, Miranda; 4 great grandchildren, Tanysha, Kaylena, Warren, Tyler; 1 brother, Larry (Sally) Lowe; nephew, Anthony Sr; niece, Roberta; many more nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Lowe Sr and Rosalyn Buck; husband, Richard Merrill; 3 brothers, Steve, Robert, Eugene; 2 granddaughters, Celebrant and Baby Girl.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Round Lake Community Center and continue until service time at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Round Lake Community Center. Gloria will be laid to rest at the Johnstown Township Cemetery following the service. Casket Bearers will be Reuben Buck, Scott Lowe, Ryan Darwin, Steven Benjamin, Lonnie Benjamin, Robert Lowe, and Vern Lowe Jr. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Jason Peterson, Jason Duncan, Vern Lowe Sr, Kyle Kitson Jr, and Jason Fleming.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
