Harland Lofgren

Harland C. Lofgren, 80, of Centuria, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at the Christian Community Home of Osceola.  Harland was born on September 27, 1942, in Rush City, Minnesota, the son of Carl and Doris (Daw) Lofgren.

Harland was raised, attended, and graduated from school in Rush City, Minnesota.  He attended the University of Minnesota and then after his formal education he worked for Midwest Breeders.  He also owned and operated his own business in the Twin Cities for 12 years until purchasing his farm in Centuria where he lived and worked until a few weeks before he passed away.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, but his true passion was working on his farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Doris, and his wife, Sharron of 59 years.  He leaves behind to celebrate his memory, sons, Loren Lofgren, Milltown, Ronnie (Jeri) Lofgren, Centuria, and Michael (Elaine) Lofgren, Costa Mesa, CA, grandchildren: Steven, Nicholas (Bridgette), Neil (Ashley), Brittany, Trevor, Teasha, Harland and Dakota, numerous great-grandchildren, sisters, Ardyce (LeRoy) Pillar, Janet (Myron) Twingstrom, and Marilyn (Ivan) Bullert, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Harland will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Joy Lutheran Church in Centuria.  Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Following the service please join the family for lunch in the fellowship hall.

He will be laid to rest at the Milltown Cemetery in a private family ceremony.
