Howard Weston Palmer

October 22, 1919 — May 30, 2013

Howard Weston Palmer, 93, of Luck, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Lawson Manor Assisted Living Home in Luck, Wisconsin.

Howard was born on October 22, 1919 in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin the son of Ralph and Elizabeth (Stubbs) Palmer.

Howard worked as a milk tester, then as a salesman and then drove school bus for the Unity School District for 12 years.  He then owned and operated Palmer Gravel located between Luck and Milltown.  Howard was one of the founding members of Faith Fellowship Church in Luck where he was active as a deacon for many years.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his love for people.

Howard leaves to celebrate his memory, his wife, Elaine Palmer, children, Richard (Gloria) Palmer, Marie (Howard) Nolte, Robert (Cherry) Palmer, Terry (Leann) Palmer, Douglas (Sue) Palmer and Shirley Jean Tustin, brother, Gordon Palmer, sister, Gaylie Palmer, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Carol Jean Palmer, brothers, Winton, Ken, Gerald and Jerome Palmer and a sister, Ruth Mattson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at East Balsam Baptist Church.  Howard’s family will greet visitors at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Following the service the family would like to invite their guests to join them for fellowship and lunch in the church fellowship hall.

Howard will be laid to rest at the New Home Cemetery in Eureka Township, Polk County, Wisconsin.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
