Janice Nelson, 73, of Luck, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on
April 3, 2020
, after a 22-year battle with cancer. She was born
Nov. 14, 1946
, in Ashland, Wisconsin, to Kenneth and Leona Larson.
Her family lived in Hayward before moving to Frederic in 1954. She attended Frederic Schools, where she graduated in 1964. Next was beauty school in Minneapolis, and hair care for a number of years. After that, she worked as a bookkeeper for Early Oil in Frederic, at the Milltown meal site, and as a bus driver for the Luck School District.
Janice’s biggest joys in life were her grandsons, who she loved dearly. She was a big part of their lives growing up. Janice finally got a girl in her life with a great-granddaughter, Sara, who she cherished.
Janice enjoyed traveling. She was very fortunate to travel to dozens of countries, on four continents.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Leona Larson.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Roger; son, John (Mandi) Nelson; sister, Vonnie (Steve) Anderson; and brother, Terry (Janet) Larson. Janice had four grandsons and a great-granddaughter.
As per her wishes, there will be no funeral service. A family Celebration of Life and burial will be in the future.
