Joanne C. (Wennerberg) Vanschoonhoven

Joanne C. (Wennerberg) VanSchoonhoven, 74, of rural Balsam Lake, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at the Amery Regional Medical Center in Amery, Wisconsin with her loving family at her side.  Joanne was born on December 18, 1938 in Menomonie, Wisconsin the daughter of Kurt and Verna (Bock) Wennerberg.

Joanne attended Elmwood schools until her senior year.  She graduated from Round Lake High School in Round Lake, Illinois.  She married Gerald VanSchoonhoven on September 12, 1964 in Cadott, WI.  They farmed and raised their family in the Waverly area of Pierce County, Wisconsin.  They moved to rural Balsam Lake in their retirement years.  Joanne was an avid sports fan and loved the Green Bay Packers.

Joanne leaves to celebrate her memory: husband, Gerald “Tiny” VanSchoonhoven, Balsam Lake, WI; son, Kurt (Dori) VanSchoonhoven, Elk Mound, WI; daughter, Katie (Joe) Manor, River Falls, WI; grandchildren, Jordan and Paige VanSchoonhoven, Megan and Bailey Manor, brother, John Wennerberg, Round Lake, IL and many other loving family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Kurt and Verna (Bock) Wennerberg and her in-laws, Carl and Minnie (Hase) VanSchoonhoven.

Joanne’s family will greet visitors on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 1:00P.M. – 4:00 P.M. at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria, Wisconsin.
