Jon M. Hawkins

Jonathan “Jon” M. Hawkins, 33, of Luck, Wisconsin, Laketown Township, passed away on August 3, 2102.  Jon was born on May 22, 1979 in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.  He was raised in the Luck area, graduated from Luck High School in 1997 and then attended the University of Wisconsin Barron County and received an Associate’s Degree in Arts and Science in 1999.  He worked at the Luck Lumber Company for several years and was currently employed at McNally Industries in Grantsburg, Wisconsin.

He was a former member of the Luck Fire Department, an avid tractor puller, a loyal family man and friend.  He enjoyed working on and rebuilding tractors and attending the local events.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends.

Jon leaves to celebrate his memory: father, Jim Hawkins, Luck, WI; mother, Luanne Paulson, Cushing, WI; brother, Paul (Courtney) Hawkins and their son Colin, Cushing, WI; half brother, Jesse Gjerdahl and his daughter Olivia, Osceola, WI; grandmother; Louise Lehman, Cushing, WI; aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family and friends.

The funeral service for Jon will be on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Luck Lutheran Church with Pastor Ralph Thompson officiating.  Jon’s family will be greeting visitors at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria on Tuesday from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M and again at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  The family wishes to invite their guests to join them for fellowship and lunch at the church following the service.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
