Judith Marlene (Jenson) Gustafson

Judith Marlene Gustafson, 71, of Fredric, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Willow Ridge Nursing Home in Amery, Wisconsin.  Judith was born on June 11, 1942 in Santiago, Minnesota the daughter of Albin and Nellie (Halverson) Jenson.

Judith was born on June 11 th , 1942 in Princeton, MN to Albin and Nellie Jenson.  She graduated from Foley High School.  Judith married David Gustafson on August 17 th , 1963.  They lived in Princeton, MN, Coon Rapids, MN, and Milaca, MN before moving to Frederic, WI in 1975.

Judith and David purchased the Frederic Wash House in 1975.  Later they went on to own the Milltown Laundromat and the Frederic Liquor Store.

Judith enjoyed working with wood.  She refinished the woodwork in their homes and businesses and several pieces of furniture.  She took a wood-working class and made their bed frame.

Judith loved to get people together.  She hosted many family holiday and birthday meals.  The gatherings were always full of discussion and laughter.

Judith spent many hours on bleachers watching her children’s and grandchildren’s games and later watching Doug and Steve race.

Judy leaves to celebrate her memory: husband, David L. Gustafson, Frederic, WI; son, Doug (Doreen) Gustafson, Frederic, WI; daughter, Kim Gustafson, St. Paul, MN; son, Steven A. Gustafson, Frederic, WI; grandchildren, Allison, Carly, Mason Gustafson and Matthew Benson, brothers, David (Janice) Jenson, St. Cloud, MN; Dick (Loretta) Jenson, Brainerd, MN; nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Albin and Nellie (Halverson) Jenson and her sister, Joanne Jenson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Frederic, Wisconsin at 1:00 P.M.  The Gustafson family will be greeting visitors at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.  Pastor Paul Peterson will officiate the service.  The family wishes to invite their guests to join them for lunch and fellowship in the church fellowship hall following the service.  Judy will be laid to rest at the Zion Lutheran Bone Lake Cemetery at a later date.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
