Karen Marie (Davis) Muller was born on May 26, 1960 in Redwood Falls, MN and passed peacefully at her home in Milltown, WI on August 17, 2014 at the age of 54.
Karen was the daughter of Arnold and Lois Davis. She attended Prairie Farm High School where she was an active member of many sports and enjoyed showing her jersey cow in 4-H. She graduated with honors in 1978. She went on to earn her BS in Elementary Ed in 1983 and continued her education for over 7 more years. She married her best friend, Bruce Muller on August 6, 1983.
She began her teaching career in St. Croix Falls, WI and 2 years later started working at Unity Schools where she has been teaching for 25 years. She had a passion for working with children and found great joy in teaching.
Karen was the loving mother of 3 children of whom her life revolved around and a granddaughter who was the light of her life. She never missed a sporting event or activity in which her kids were involved in. She was also very active in her community including Sunday school and confirmation, library board, 4-H and mentoring to name a few. She had and overwhelming willingness to help with anything whether it was asked of her or not. Karen was an inspiration not only to her own family, but to countless other children and families. She was a kind and caring soul who loved to help others. Karen also had a love for the outdoors and water, reading, playing games with her family and golfing.
Karen leaves to celebrate her memory: her husband, Bruce Edward Muller, Milltown, WI; children: Molly Mae Muller, Milltown, WI; Lisa Marie Muller, Milltown, WI; Mickey Mason Muller, Milltown, WI; granddaughter, Ava Marie Muller, Milltown, WI, mother, Lois Ruth Davis, Prairie Farm, WI; and many other loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Milltown Lutheran Church. Pastor Maggie Isaacson will officiate.
The Muller family will greet visitors on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Milltown Lutheran Church and then from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church on Friday.
She will be laid to rest at the Milltown Cemetery following the service.
The family invites their guests to join them for lunch and fellowship at the church following the cemetery service.
The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
