Manetta Ora (Coen) Christensen

Manetta O. Christensen, 91, of Milltown, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Amery Regional Medical Center with her loving family at her side.  Manetta Coen was born on December 22, 1925 in Bismarck, ND the daughter of George and Gertrude (Hall) Coen.  Manetta resided at the United Pioneer Home in Luck, Wisconsin for the past 5 ½ years.

She enjoyed raising miniature horses, loved creation, the full moon and sunsets.  She loved her God Jehovah; she loved people and was often referred to as “Hug-Bug” or “Hugs”.  She loved spending time with her family and visiting her farm when she was able.

Manetta leaves to celebrate her memory, children: Linda (Roland) Hall, Cushing, WI; Georgia (Greg) Maier, Balsam Lake, WI; Danny (Anita) Christensen, Milltown, WI and Julie Thomas, Milltown, WI; grandchildren, Annette Christensen, David Christensen, John Christensen, Dustin (Sarah) Christensen, Jason Hall, Gina (Mark) Koalhase, Jennifer (Scott) Langermann, Chad (Bonita) Christensen, Katie (Cliff) Luedtke, Angela Rider, Kristin Overby, Joy Maier, Debra (Ryan) Kelley, Rebecca (Nick) Taylor and Darren (Lauren) Thomas, great grandchildren:Jacob, Richard, Javier, Alisa, Jason Jr., Jeremy, Jessica, Matt, Lindsey, Luke, Amanda, Monica, Samantha, Ashley, Joshua, Brianna, Baylee, Matthew, Shayla, Savannah, Amelia, Tristan, Annalise, Arabella, Ari and Evelyn and many great-great grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Patty Christensen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gertrude Coen, husband, Raymond Christensen, brothers, Lou and Donald, sisters, Mabel Shannon and Donalda Christensen, sons, Richard and Ronald Christensen and a grandson David Maier.

Visitation will be held at the Milltown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. until a Memorial Talk at 2:00 P.M.  Following the service everyone is invited to the Milltown Community Center for lunch and continued fellowship.

Manetta will be laid to rest alongside her husband Raymond at the Milltown Cemetery.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
