Marion Agnes (Frey) Swanson
Centuria – Marion Swanson, a long-time resident of Centuria area, died Thursday the 14th of February at Christian Community Home in Osceola, Wisconsin.
Born in 1932 to Aggie and Charlie Frey. A graduate of Roberts High School, she went on to work in the corporate office of Northwest Airlines before marrying Robert William (Bizz) Swanson in 1955. Marion worked many years on the family dairy farm, raising four children and was an avid school supporter. When she retired from farming, she enjoyed working in food service at Unity High School where she could interact with all the kids. Marion was also an active member/supporter of the Milltown VFW Post 6856 and Auxiliary.
She loved family gatherings, playing cards, gardening, long talks with her grandchildren and doing whatever she could to be sure her children were happy.
Marion will be fondly missed by her children, Robert C (Charlie) Swanson, RonnDa Peters (Harry), Renee Jenkins (Tom), her sister Pat (Frey) Delander, Grandchildren; Elizabeth Lundin, Nina Northquest, Zach Swanson, Adam Swanson, Miranda Swanson, Becky (Esden) Brunett , Joe Swanson, Great-Grandchildren; Owen Brunett, Colten Brunett, Elijah Northquest, MacKenna Johnson, Avery Northquest, Austin Northquest, Brecken Northquest, John Northquest, Aaden Lundin.
She was predeceased by Carmen Hawkins (sister), Robert W Swanson (husband), Randy Swanson (son), Andy Lundin (grandson), Quintin Brunett (great grandson).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 12 Noon at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin: 507 Main Street, Balsam Lake, WI. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service. Please join the family for lunch and fellowship in the church social hall following the Mass. Marion will be laid to rest at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
