Marlene Rita Merrill

Marlene Rita Merrill, “Ozaawaagiizhegookwe” 64, of Round Lake, Wisconsin passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Marlene was born on March 13, 1957, in Amery, Wisconsin the daughter of Wilbert and Lorraine Merrill.

Marlene leaves to celebrate her memory: children, Katrina Leoso, Amanda Merrill, and Merill Leoso, of Round Lake, grandchildren: Lakeesha Merrill, Terrell Merrill, Elijah Merrill, Trinty Fowler, Mitchell Fowler Jr., Nyima Rogers, Mataio Rogers, Marques Leoso, and Teegan Leoso, brother, Frank Merrill, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Lorraine, daughters, Sarah and Carmen Leoso and siblings, Marion Benjamin, Ellen Skye, and Bruce Lowe.

Visitation will begin at 4 PM on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 and continue until services at 10 AM on Thursday at the Round Lake Community Center.

Marlene will be laid to rest at the Johnstown Township Cemetery following services.  Pallbearers will be John Rogers, Brandon Merrill, James Ellis, Christopher Bugg, John Merrill and Kelly Lowe.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Todd Sam, Tommy Bugg, Lonnie Benjamin, Maurice Benjamin, and Shane Gasper.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria, Wisconsin has been entrusted with arrangements.
