Sunrise 10/18/65 - sunset 12/07/21 Marty passed away unexpectedly Tuesday night at the age of 56.

Marty is preceded in death by his father Gary Nelson, Mother Shirley Nelson, Daughter Maggie Robbins and his favorite dog, Sonny.

He is survived by his beloved Son Gary Nelson; Daughter Kayde Lausen; Sisters, Tamara, Robin, and Mary; Brother Mark; his favorite Niece, AsyrRia and Nephews, Michael, Benjamin, Ajahn, Tony, Jordan, and Matthew. Marty was also Survived & Overwhelmingly Loved by a tremendous amount of friends.

Marty was born and grew up on the east side of St. Paul, MN, eventually moving to Polk County, WI. Marty worked doing odd jobs for his friends and family he loved. If you knew Marty, you knew that he had an infectious sense of humor and could make anybody smile.  Marty was well known for playing many jokes and gambling at his favorite local bar Wilkins on Bone Lake.  Marty shared more laughs with people than most do in their lifetime, he enjoyed listening to “Thumping” music and being outdoors with his loved ones.  Marty wore his heart on his sleeve and always helped others without asking, he loved everyone unconditionally. Marty made every day a new adventure, he loved making everyone around him laugh, he was a lover of animals and was the best Dog Uncle to Sonny.

Marty will forever be tremendously missed by many, including his Family, Friends, former co-workers, and everyone who knew and loved him.

A funeral service for Marty will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria.  Marty’s family will greet visitors at the funeral home beginning at 12 Noon until the time of service.
