Michael L Kaphing

Michael Lloyd. Kaphing, 66, of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the Pioneer Home in Prairie Farm, Wisconsin with his loving family at his side.

Mike was born on September 4, 1956, the son of William and Deloris “Dolly” Kaphing in St. Paul, Minnesota, and grew up in White Bear Lake.  The stories he told of the shenanigans growing up were priceless.

Mike was a loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and best grandpa.  He was a proud marine, quick to make friends, and always willing to lend a hand.  He loved being outdoors, hunting and snowmobiling.  He loved working on automobiles (especially his son’s racecar).  He will be truly missed.

Mike leaves to celebrate his memory: his wife, Sherri Kaphing, his mother, Deloris “Dolly” Kaphing, children: Debra (Stuart) Pearthree, Rebecca Vaillancourt (Kevin Bradwell), Ben Kaphing and Makayla Kaphing, grandchildren: Sandra, Hanna, Alecia, Carissa, Cassandra, Haley, John and Kaden, siblings, Patricia Tollefson, Linda (Ed) Meyer, Lori (Dan) Chouinard, Mitch (Barb) Kaphing and Bill Kaphing and many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Kaphing, son, Brian Kaphing, sisters, Carol Kaphing and Mary Kaphing, and a brother, Richard Kaphing.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria on Thursday, December 15, 2022.  Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM and conclude with a service at 6:00 P.M.  He will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
