Richard "Dick" Hoffman, 79, of Centuria, WI passed away on January 6, 2024, at St. Croix Falls Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Dick was born on July 9, 1944, to Fred and Margaret Hoffman at Amery Hospital.
Dick was the only boy with 5 sisters. He graduated from Unity High School in 1962. On July 31, 1965, he married Dianne Strom. They were married for 58 years. They had two children, Tamara and Mark.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper. Dick was a talented mechanic, electrician, painter, taxidermist, and carpenter. Dick and Dianne were the previous owners of Henry’s Resort on Balsam Lake, WI, and of Hoffman’s Resort on Des Moines Lake in Danbury, WI. Dick was a loving grandfather, father, and husband. He touched everyone he met with his witty humor, charm, and memorable storytelling. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Margaret Hoffman, and sisters, Doris Steffen, Bev Connelly, Judy Munson, and Diane Westmoreland.
Richard leaves to celebrate his memory, his wife, Dianne Hoffman, sister, Kathy (Jim) McKenzie, children, Tammy Hoffman and Mark (Amy) Hoffman, grandchildren, Ashlee, Alex, Jacob, Ben, and Abby, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Milltown Community Center on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
The Kolstad Family Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
