Robert "Bob" James Tourville

Robert James Tourville “Bob”, 73 of Centuria, Wisconsin passed away at his home on Friday, December 27, 2019 with his loving family at his side after a strongly fought battle with health issues.

Bob was born on April 11, 1946 in Indian Creek, Wisconsin the son of William J. and Marie O. (Springer) Tourville.  Bob attended St Croix Falls School. He joined the Army in 1967 and was deployed to Korea. After serving in the Army and returning home, Bob went to work for the railroad.

He met Judy Patterson and they were united in marriage on October 2nd, 1965. Robert and Judy had 2 children, Sara in 1972 and Ben in 1975.

Bob spent most of his adult life working as a mason. He also had a love for woodworking and enjoyed building many pieces of furniture.

Bob, along with his wife, was an avid fisherman, and loved the outdoors. They spent a lot of time on the lakes or going up north to the cabin.

Bob loved to travel with his wife and family. He had a special bond with his oldest grandson, Tony, taking him on fishing trips to Texas and vacations to Arizona and Mexico.

He loved being able to teach his grandkids anything he could. Nothing made him more proud than hearing about all the things that his grandkids were doing. He had a great love for his family and friends.

He touched many lives and left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.

Bob leaves to celebrate his memory: children, Sara (Dewey) Nieman, St. Croix Falls, WI; Ben (Cathy) Tourville, Dresser, WI, grandchildren: Tony Nelson, Aidan Nieman, Alex Nieman, Tyler and Justin Tourville, Derek Tourville and Aubree Tourville, great grandchildren: Grayson, Kason and Averie Nelson, siblings: Russell Yunker, Roland Yunker, Richard Tourville and Eugene Tourville, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Judy, siblings, LeRoy Tourville and Geraldine Eaton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Faith Lutheran Church in Balsam Lake.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M.  Please join the family for lunch and fellowship in the church basement following the service.  Bob will be laid to rest at St. John’s Cemetery, Centuria in the spring.
