Roy Emil Peckman, 71, of Centuria and formerly of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at his home in Centuria.  Roy was born on May 7, 1946 in Mankato, Minnesota the son of Herbert and Donna (Fortney) Peckman.

Roy graduated from Johnson High School in St. Paul, Minnesota.  He served his country in the United States Army from April 1964 until his honorable discharge in August of 1965.  Roy was a Truck Driver by profession for 44 years.

In his younger years he enjoyed gymnastics and dirt racing.  He loved to swim and still enjoyed that activity to this day, especially with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and he will be dearly missed.

Roy leaves to celebrate his memory, wife, Mary Peckman, children, Kipp (Bobbi) Peckman, Scott (Natalie) Peckman, Angela (Tom) Fox and Wayne (Janna) Peckman, 14 grandchildren, Katie (Brian),Cassandra (Cory), Karly (Royce), Tyler, Clay, Cole, Austin, Cody, Calli, Blayne, Taylor, Hayden, Alexis and Ella, 8 great grandchildren, Isabella, Easton, Colbie, Mikella, Alicen, Ruby, Crosby and Charlotte, one brother, Randy Peckman, two sisters, Rebecca (Carl) Riley and Debbie Burgmeier and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Donna Peckman, brother, David Henry Strobel and his sisters, Ruth Ellen Hardy and Rhea Kuhn.

Roy’s family will greet visitors at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.

Roy will be laid to rest at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Spooner with full military honors on Friday, December 1, 2017.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Tyler, Clay, Cole, Austin, Cody and Hayden.

In lieu of flowers.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
