Sonja Gail (Larsen) Siefert

Sonja Gail Seifert, 79, of Balsam Lake and formerly Milltown, Wisconsin passed away on June 15, 2024, in Amery, Wisconsin.

Sonja was born July 12, 1944, to Kenneth and Lillian Larsen of Milltown, WI, and graduated from Unity High School in 1962.

Sonja married George Knutson and together they had two girls.  They resided in Anoka, MN.  During this time Sonja was a stay-at-home mom and then eventually worked in a flower shop.

Sonja married Roger Siefert and gained four stepsons.  Together they enjoyed weekends at the cabin on Lake Vermillion, square dancing and spending time together.  Sonja worked for Attorney Mark Jennings in North Branch, MN for many years before leaving to work at their new business, Roger's Bait Shop and, then later, Roger's Concrete Creations.  Together they built their business until Roger retired at 74.  Together they moved to Balsam Lake where they made many new friends.  Sonja and Roger would spend winters in Gold Canyon, AZ.  It wasn't until both of their health required them to stay year-round in Wisconsin.

Sonja is survived by her daughter, Paige Knutson of MI; sister, Carolyn Outcalt of Turtle Lake, WI; step-sons Mike Siefert of Grandy, MN; Dan (Nancy) Siefert of Rock Creek, MN; Pat Siefert of Embarass, MN; Mark (Amanda) Siefert of Centuria, WI; grandchildren - Bobbi Welzel of MI; Tyler (Courtney) of Owatonna, MN; Cole Stevens, Brainerd, MN; step-grandchildren - Anna (Kurt) Zoller of Thief River Falls, MN; Chris (Molly) Siefert of Minneapolis, MN; Cody Siefert of Rock Creek, MN; Ashely Siefert and Timothy Siefert of Centuria, WI; along with 10 greatgrandchildren and other family members and friends.

Sonja is proceeded in death by:her, parents, Kenneth and Lillian Larsen; husband, Roger Siefert; first husband, George Knutson; daughter, Paula Stevens; sister, Julie Stevenson; step-grandsons, Matthew Siefert and Mitchell Siefert and great-grandson, Lucah Green.

A Celebration of Life and Love will be held on Friday, August 16th, at 2 PM with a visitation an hour prior at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria.  She will be laid to rest at the Milltown Cemetery following the service.
