Tom W. Moore

Thomas William Moore passed away Feb. 27, 2014 at his home in Frederic, Wisconsin.  He was born Jan. 3, 1954 to Dr. Robert and Jessie (Thomas) Moore in Frederic and graduated from Frederic High School in 1972.  He went to NDSU School of Pharmacy in Fargo, ND and graduated with a Master’s degree of Pharmacy in 1978.  He married Dana Anderson on June 21, 1975 at St. Luke’s Methodist in Frederic, WI.  To this union Erin Nicole and Seth Thomas were born.    Tom and Dana lived in Luck where Tom started working at the Olsen and Son Drug store, but they eventually divorced.  Tom continued to work at Olsen and Son Drug store and became a pharmacy consultant for the United Pioneer Nursing Home (also in Luck) where he met his wife, Cassie Forster, who worked there as an RN. They were married on Oct. 17, 1987 at West Denmark Lutheran Church in Luck, WI.  To this union Ryan Duncan and Megan Marie were born.  Tom and Cassie lived in Luck where Tom continued to work for Olsen and Son and the United Pioneer home for over 20 years.  Eventually, he bought the Olsen & Son pharmacy in Siren which he owned for the last 13 years.

Tom had been active in the community all his life.  He served on the Luck Village Golf Course Committee, was a member of the Luck Lion’s Club, and did volunteer work with his wife Cassie.  He loved watching sports, playing golf, and spending time enjoying the lake with family and friends.  Tom loved animals and spoiled his beloved dogs immensely.  He also loved to cook, which he did well, and his dogs loved to taste everything. Everyone knew they would have a great meal when they went over to the Moore’s .   More than anything, Tom loved being surrounded by his wife and children whom he cherished and to whom he was deeply devoted.

He is survived by his wife Cassie, daughter Erin (Tony) Sprague of Chippewa Falls, WI, son Seth (Ashley) Moore of Richfield, MN, son Ryan Moore of Frederic, and daughter Megan Moore of Frederic, grandchildren Haley and Emma Sprague, Tritian Zornes, Addison Williams, and Abigail Moore, sister Pamela (Clark) Moeckly of Britton, SD, brother Robert Moore of Minneapolis, MN, as well as many other family members and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents Dr. Robert Moore and Jessie Moore Schiller, Uncle Bill and Aunt Marie Moore, Aunt Jeanette Gehring, sister, Penelope White, and in-laws Anthony and Annie Forster.  Tom was beloved by many and will always be remembered for his generosity, infectious laugh, mischievous sense of humor, and above all, for his loving spirit.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Bone Lake Lutheran Church, Luck, Wisconsin.   Pastor Dave Teig will officiate.  Tom's family will be greeting visitors at the church beginning at 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  The family wishes to invite their guests to join them for lunch and fellowship following the service.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Todd Elert, John Grindell, David Grindell, Brian Johnson, Tony Sprague and Jim Wickstrom.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Autisms Society in Tom’s memory.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
