Tyrone “Ty” L. Spencer, 75, of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the St. Croix Regional Medical Center in St. Croix Falls due to congestive heart failure. Ty was born on October 27, 1943 in Muskegon, Michigan to Clinton and Louise (Matuz) Spencer.
Ty proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1961 -1965 during the Vietnam War. He married Judy Karafa on January 25, 1969 in Muskegon, MI and they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on Friday, January 25, 2019.
Ty and Judy moved to Balsam Lake, Wisconsin in 2002. He was a former employee at the St. Croix Regional Medical Center. He was a volunteer for Interfaith Caregivers and was employed and a volunteer for Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Balsam Lake where he was also a member. He was a wonderful loving and supportive husband, father and brother. He will be dearly missed and was loved by all.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Tyrone leaves to celebrate his memory: wife, Judy, Balsam Lake, WI, daughter, Kathleen (Josh) Grahm, Kuna, Idaho, daughter, Cynthia Kyle, Sarona, WI, sister, Jan Spencer, St. Croix Falls, WI and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Louise Spencer.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10 A.M. Please join the family for lunch and fellowship in the church fellowship hall following the service.
Ty will be laid to rest at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Centuria, Wisconsin in the spring with full military honors.
