Willmar H. Thaemert

Willmar Harvey Thaemert, at the age of 84, passed away on October 15, 2024, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Willmar was born on January 8th, 1940, in Green Isle, Minnesota to Henry and Josephine Thaemert. In 1944 the family moved to Centuria, Wisconsin where Willmar was a lifelong resident, graduating high school in 1958 from Centuria.

He devoted his life to farming, focusing on dairy farming before transitioning into crop farming in his later years. In addition to his farming career, Willmar was passionate about restoring tractors and meticulously maintaining a pristine yard. These hobbies reflected his dedication to his profession and personal life, showing his attention to detail and commitment to preservation.

Willmar is survived by brothers Marvin Thaemert (Margie), Eugene “Butch” Thaemert (Katie), sisters Margie Nelson of Milltown, Vivian O’Donnell of California, Juliann Bibeau of Centuria, Carol Niles of Oakdale, MN, Sisters-in-law Joann Thaemert of Centuria and Carol Thaemert of Chaska, MN, and numerous other family members.

He is preceded by his parents Henry and Josephine Thaemert, sisters Ellen Pagel, (Jerry), Clarice Nelson (Bob), and Maxine Thunberg (Bob); brothers Leon Thaemert and Larry Thaemert.

Willmar’s life will be marked by hard work and dedication to the land he cultivated, maintaining a spotless yard and the machines he restored.

Celebration of Life will be held at Bill's home on Sunday, October 27 from 12 PM - 3 PM.  1913 180th Avenue,  Centuria,  Wisconsin
