Ellery Leland Davis

Ellery Leland Davis, 66, of Milltown, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the St. Croix Regional Medical Center in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.  Ellery was born on April 30, 1947 in Glendive, MT the son of Clarence Elery and Freda Elizabeth (Swanson) Davis.

As a child Ellery grew up in Glendive and attended schools there until moving with his family to Corona, CA at the age of 16.  He graduated from Corona High School in 1966.  He was married to Jeri Kelley in 1980 and to this union 5 children were born.  Ellery was a semi and dump truck driver for most of his life and retired from the occupation he loved in 2007.  He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.  He created a very close and loving family and took great pride in raising his family.  He will be dearly missed.

Ellery leaves to celebrate his memory: wife, Jeri Davis, Milltown, WI; children: Krystal (Dwayne) Ferrell, Lebanon, TN; Adrian Davis, Milltown, WI; Justin Davis, Luck, WI; Travis (Cassidy) Davis, North St. Paul, MN; Jennifer (Joe) Martin, Luck, WI; grandchildren: Sydnie Bundy, Logan Davis, Joshua Davis, Neil Martin, Jaelyn Martin, Nolan Martin, sisters: Hazel Lace, Adelle  Provence, Becky Lumsden, nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Freda Davis.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at East Balsam Baptist Church in rural Balsam Lake, Wisconsin.  Pastor Bill McEachern will officiate the service.  The Davis family will begin greeting visitors at the church at 10:00 A.M.  Following the service the family invites their guests to join them for lunch and fellowship at the church.

Ellery will be laid to rest at the Bunyan Union Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Adrian Davis, Justin Davis, Travis Davis, Joe Martin, Randy Hughes and John Lumsden Jr.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
