Susan I. (Dombrock) Carney

Susan I. Carney, 81, of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, passed away at the Comforts of Home in St. Croix Falls on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.

Susan Dombrock was born on January 22, 1943, in Osceola, Wisconsin to Ralph “Ike” and Irene (Lofdahl) Dombrock.  She married James Carney on May 18, 1963, and welcomed two children into their lives.  She worked as a nurse’s aide for several years until her daughter was born and then she was a stay-at-home mother, taking care of her two children.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Irene, her husband, James Carney and, her brother in infancy.  She leaves to celebrate her memory; son, Jason “Jay” (Rachel) Carney, Cushing, WI; daughter, Melinda (Robert) Wells, Dresser, WI; grandchildren; Zoey (Justin) McKenzie, Clay (Tessa) Carney, Andy (Kelley) Wells, Peter (Caitlin) Wells, Rebecca (Joseph) Biebert, Daniel (Miranda) Wells, Bethany Wells, great-grandchildren, Lane, Luke, Ike, Gabe, Liam, Silas, Norah, Ella, Elliott, Vienna, Emma, Grady, Emery, Sawyer, Wren and Huxley and other relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life for Susan will be held at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Dresser, Wisconsin, on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11 AM with a visitation beginning at 10 AM until the time of service.   Please join the family for lunch and fellowship following the service.

Susan’s family would like to express their gratitude to Olive Grove Hospice and the Comforts of Home for their compassionate care of their mother.

Memorials are preferred to Olive Grove Hospice or Bethesda Lutheran Church.
